ATV Accident Kills One In Mayes County

LONE GROVE, Oklahoma -- A single-vehicle ATV accident claimed the life of a Pryor, Okla., boy Saturday evening the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Cody Dee Cramer, 14, was pronounced dead at the scene of the rollover accident northeast of Lone Grove about 7 p.m.

Cramer's 1999 Polaris ATV was westbound on a dirt trail approaching the intersection of another dirt trail.  Cramer attempted to turn right onto the intersecting trail but lost control and the ATV rolled one-and-a-half times according to the OHP report.

Cramer's body was transported  to the Locust Grove Funeral home.

The OHP report stated that no helmets or safety belts were in use at the time of the accident.
