UPDATE: SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -- The boil order for the city of Shawnee is lifted and the water system there is now stable.
That order was issued Monday following a big water main break that left many people without service.
While things are improving, the city said it is still seeing some small breaks and crews are out looking at those.
However, water levels are back where they should be.
SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -- Shawnee's water towers are still recovering from several recent water main breaks. Those breaks temporarily cut service to residents on Monday.
A voluntary boil advisory is still in effect until the final water quality testing is completed. According to the city, that may not be complete until Thursday morning.
