OKLAHOMA CITY -- A warning about a door to door scam happening at one Oklahoma City apartment complex.

We talked to one scared, disabled victim at the Forest Creek Apartments at N.W. 122nd and Rockwell who says a young woman knocked on her door and asked to use the phone and then swiped her keys and her car!

Now her family is passing out fliers to warn other renters.

Turns out there have been other disabled and elderly people who have fallen victim to this wolf in sheep's clothing.

"Yeah it was like 107 degrees out there I felt really bad for her, " said Jaime, who's real name we are protecting. "I'm always doing nice things for everybody, so it didn't even cross my mind that she could be doing something bad to me."

Oklahoma City police tell us they have not seen an increase in crime against the elderly or disabled in one particular area, but warn everyone to be wary and on the lookout for potential scam artists.

We went to ouR Crimetracker database to see what other crimes have occurred in this area.

This year, there were 26 burglaries and 7 assaults in a three-month period in and around that area around N.W. 122nd and Rockwell.
