OKLAHOMA CITY – Thousands of shoppers are expected to pack The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City Friday for its grand opening.
The outlet mall opened Friday morning at 8 a.m., just in time for the state's tax-free weekend which runs Aug. 5 through Aug. 7. Shoppers can stock up on clothing and other approved items under $100, without paying sales tax.
The mall is located at Interstate 40 and Council Road. All 87 stores are open, and many retailers are running promotions and giveaways in honor of grand opening weekend. The mall is hoping to attract customers from across the state, as well as Texas, Kansas and Arkansas.
