Trial Set For Man Accused Of Killing His Mother With A Brick

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man accused of brutally beating his deaf, elderly mother was bound over for trial Friday.

Police say Darrell Frederick beat his 87 year old mother Connie with a brick in late March.

She later passed away at the hospital.

Frederick turned himself in to police and was charged with first degree murder.  Friday, a judge set his trial for September 21st.

This is not Frederick's first run in with the law.  He was acquitted on a first degree murder charge in 2007.
