I-35 Closed For Second Time Due To Edmond Grassfire

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 between Waterloo Road and 2nd Street in Edmond due to grassfires. 

Structures have been confirmed to be engulfed in flames at about 6 p.m.

The Edmond Fire Department has been battling the fire since early Saturday afternoon.

The fire started at around noon near Coffee Creek and Sooner Rd. in Edmond. It is believed to have been rekindled from hot spots from Friday's fire.

News 9 has a crew at the scene and no injuries have been reported at this point.
