MUSTANG, Oklahoma -- It's one of Mustang's hidden gems. Located in the old police and fire station, the Mustang Historical Museum holds a wealth of this area's history.

Dolly Priest is more than happy to show you around, but you may have to sing a little bit.

Antiques and treasures of all kinds are displayed and crammed into every corner of this space.

Since the building did house the police department, there are still jail cells complete with authentic clothing.

Glen Muse knows all about most of the stuff in the museum. He also knows that they're running out of room.

"We have ten rooms here and they're all small.  And, right now, they're all pretty well full," he says.

The Historical Society has met with the city manager to discuss getting a new building in the future, but Dolly's determined to safeguard Mustang's history wherever the museum may be.

"I think that the younger generation is going to want to know where they came from and what their town was like.  And they won't know if we don't preserve what we have already," she says.
