MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- A Guthrie woman accused of injuring two people in a shooting outside a Midwest City bar has been charged in the case.
Wendy Whisman, 40, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The charges stem from a shooting that occurred outside of a night club in Midwest City August 14.
It happened at "Da Bomb" Club when police say two women originally got into a fight over a pool game. Whisman then allegedly went out into the parking lot after the fight, where her friend Johnny Ray Hudson got into a fistfight with another man.
According to the police report, Whisman then grabbed a .38 caliber handgun from her car and fired several shots into the crowd. Police say Whisman struck two people during the gunfire. Their injuries were not life threatening.
Police say after the shooting, several people beat Whisman and held her for police. She suffered a broken nose and facial injuries during that attack.
