OKLAHOMA CITY – A man accused of killing a homeless man near downtown Oklahoma City has been charged in the case on Friday.
According to court document, 43-year-old Robert Redbone has been charged with first degree murder. Police say Redbone killed Javier Escarcega when he beat him with a steel pipe.
One of Escarcega's friends called police on August 20, after he found Escarcega's body behind a warehouse on the 1300 block of W. Reno.

Detectives interviewed several people at the location. They quickly determined Redbone was a suspect in the homicide. They located him near N.W. 4th Street and Western and took him into custody.
