OKLAHOMA CITY – Talk about finishing it out in style.

After being unable to produce hardly any offense and trailing the entire game, the RedHawks exploded in their final inning to take a 10-5 victory over Iowa on Friday.

OKC trailed 5-1 going into the bottom of the eighth, but blasted nine runs to close out the game in impressive fashion.

Chris Johnson posted a home run to grab three of the RBIs in the inning, but many of them were helped by mistakes from the Cubs.

Various walks, wild pitches and throwing errors helped runners reach base and advance. Iowa had three costly errors in the game.

The Cubs started off the game with the momentum as Brett Jackson homered in the first at-bat, part of a four-run first inning.

Johnson had his three RBIs from the home run but Brett Wallace and Anderson Hernandez added two RBIs each.

OKC's Mickey Story got the win at pitcher to move to 1-0 on the year.

The win was the RedHawks' seventh game against Iowa in seven days – part of a nine-game series against the Cubs.

Game eight will take place Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
