OKLAHOMA CITY – The fire chief of the City of Oklahoma City released new statistics on both fires from the city's east side late Wednesday.
As of Wednesday evening, the fires had been raging for more than 30 hours.
A total of 15 square miles have been burnt by both the northeast fire and the southeast fire.
Five firefighters have been injured fighting the blaze. All of the injuries have been classified as minor. Three firefighters were injured on Tuesday and two were injured Wednesday. The injuries include minor burns and heat exhaustion.
