I'm strongly against allowing food stamps to be used at Fast food restaurants as is being suggested by some fast food companies. You don't like it either.
Ann in Lawton writes: "..the food stamps will be used up in the first week by trips to fast food places, and then what will the families do for the rest of the month?"
Linda in Chandler: "Food stamps are to be used in the grocery store, to plan, and prepare meals."
Ann in Del City: "If you want to go out and eat you can save your money and give yourself a treat, or better yet go to the fast food place and be on the other end taking the orders for goodness sakes."
Donna in Tonkawa: "..save the food stamps for the important things, milk, and real food."
Chad in OKC: "Using food stamps at fast food restaurants is the epitome of absurd."
You are right, Kelly, in that this is a TEMPORARY assistance program for those that need it."
Jenn in Edmond: "The food stamps for most people are to help them get back on their feet. But giving them fast food stamps is just prolonging their effort to do so!"
Finally, Karen in Newalla: "I get fast food once a month that's all I can afford. If that's the case doctors say red wine is good for you so let them buy that also!!!"
