Norman Woman Drowns On Lake Thunderbird

Crews have recovered the body of a Norman, Oklahoma woman who drowned on South Central Lake Thunderbird just before noon on Tuesday, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

CLEVELAND COUNTY, Oklahoma – Crews have recovered the body of a Norman, Oklahoma woman who drowned on South Central Lake Thunderbird just before noon on Tuesday, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The drowning occurred at 11:49 a.m. According to the accident report, 60-year-old Diana G. Grotts' body was recovered in two feet of water near the shore.

Police said they received a report of a car abandoned with the keys inside at Lake Thunderbird before they recovered Grotts' body.
