MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma –Police have arrested a Choctaw man and are looking for two more suspects in connection to a first degree burglary and robbery that took place at a home in Midwest City early Saturday morning.

Twenty-four-year-old Ashton Jones DeBerry was arrested in connection to the crime.

"We are running down several good leads and feel very confident we will identify the other two defendants in this frightening home invasion," Chief Brandon Clabes said. "There are strong indications this is not a case of random violence—our victims were most likely targeted," Chief Clabes said.

According to Midwest City police, they were called to a home located in the 7100 block of S.E. 15th Street in Midwest City, at around 2:26 a.m. Saturday on a burglary and robbery that just occurred. The victims, a man, two women and a 2-year-old child, were inside the home when three men entered their home through an unlocked side door, police say.

The attack startled neighbor Gabe Payne.

"I just heard yelling it sounded like people were yelling at each other it just sounded frantic," Payne said.

Police say the male victim was playing video game in the living room when the suspects pointed a gun to his head and ordered him to the floor. The suspects then beat the victim and robbed him of his personal belongings, including a .45 caliber handgun that he wears when he works late at a local pizza restaurant.

According to the victims, the three suspects then went to the bedroom where two women and a child were watching a movie. Police say the suspects then physically assaulted the two women and stole their belongings. One of the victims, a teenage girl, was fondled during the assault.

According to the police report, two other men who live in this house came home at different times when the crime was occurring. They were ambushed, assaulted and robbed as well.

Police say the suspects took the victim's televisions, computers and other household items, and loaded them up in the two cars which belong to the victims, a white 2007 Nissan Sentra and a 2003 Buick Century. The suspects then fled the scene in those cars. The victim, who works at the pizza restaurant, was able to free himself and go to the business to call police.

Three of the victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the police report, Sergeant Jeff Gable was in the area when he found the Buick Century at N. Bella Vista and Orchard Drive. At that point, one of the suspects, later identified as DeBerry, jumped from the car and ran north. Police say off-duty Oklahoma City Police Officer Kenneth Rhynes III was returning home after working at the state fair and saw Sgt. Gable pursuing the suspect on foot. He assisted Sgt. Gable and they were able to arrest DeBerry.

Police say the officers then found identification and credit cards belonging to the home invasion victims on DeBerry. They also found several items that were taken during the burglary and robbery in the stolen car.

According to the report, DeBerry was then transported to the Midwest City Police Department where he is being held on several charges including first degree burglary, kidnapping, robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, larceny of a motor vehicle, receiving and/or concealing stolen property and lewd acts with a minor. DeBerry is being held pending transfer to Oklahoma County jail and his bond is $202,000. He also has a previous criminal record, police say.

Police say they are still looking for two other suspects, along with one of the victim's car in this case. The car is described as a 2007 Nissan with Oklahoma tag 457-FXD. Anyone who sees this car or has information about the suspects is encouraged to the Midwest City police department at 405-739-1306.
