OKLAHOMA CITY – The wife of the murdered Nichols Hills Fire Chief has been arrested, according to deputies.
Deputies say Rebecca Bryan, Chief Keith Bryan's wife, has been taken to the Canadian County Jail for booking.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Mustang Police Department held a joint press conference and revealed new information in this case.
During the conference, Mustang police confirmed that Rebecca Bryan was arrested at 12:20 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on a complaint of First-Degree murder. According to the spokesperson for OSBI, during their search at Bryan's home, they discovered a Ruger LCP.380 Auto handgun, shell casing, a throw blanket and gloves inside the clothes dryer.
OSBI says they also discovered a projectile in the couch cushion where Chief Bryan was sitting when he was shot. They determined the shell casing found in the dryer match the projectile they found in the cushion.
Officials say Bryan was shot one time in the head at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, September 20 inside his Mustang home.
Police say this case is still under investigation.
