One Man Killed In Seminole County Motorcycle Accident

One man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in rural Seminole County Saturday evening, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- One man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in rural Seminole County Saturday evening, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred on SH 56 one mile west of County Road NS3580.

Fifty-three-year-old Everett D. Holiday from Wanette, Oklahoma, was transported from the scene by air ambulance to the Oklahoma University Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead from internal injuries.

His motorcycle was westbound on SH 56 when it departed the roadway to the right, overcorrected and departed the roadway to the left where it struck an embankment and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Holiday was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the trooper's report stated.
