OKLAHOMA CITY -- There are certain moments that are just uncomfortable and awkward. One of those for me is knowing what to say when someone has lost their job.
But guess what, Hallmark has come to the rescue.
Patty's Hallmark in Edmond says over the last few months they've had several requests for cards to send to people who've lost their jobs. They'll be getting some in next week.
We found this one at another Hallmark. It says: "Don't think of it as losing your job. Think of it as a time-out between stupid bosses."
It's kind of funny, that is if, you haven't just lost your job.
Would you really want to get one of these in the mail?
And if you're sending one of these cards to someone, how long would you wait after they've been laid off?
So in the future, if any of you feel compelled to send me a "Sorry You Lost Your Job" card. please just jot down a handwritten note of encouragement.
Oh, and enclose the $2.79 you saved on the card, if you don't mind.
