CLEVELAND, Ohio -- After a dominating performance against the Texas Longhorns, senior defensive back Jamell Fleming was named the Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week.

In the 55-17 win in the Red River Rivalry, Fleming turned in a career-high 13 tackles – 11 solo – two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble return for a touchdown. Fleming was put on the preseason watch list for the end of the year Thorpe Award.
