IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 released its preseason poll on Thursday, and the Cowboys and Sooners will have to earn their respect.
Big 12 coaches voted Oklahoma State seventh and OU tied for ninth in the poll.
Kansas and Texas A&M share the top spots with 73 voting points each. The selection is A&M's first time in the top spot for the conference's preseason rankings.
The young but talented Baylor Bears came in third.
OU and OSU will both open the regular season on Nov. 11.
