Construction Zone Accident Kills One In Cimarron County

KEYES, Oklahoma -- An accident in a construction zone in Cimarron County Friday afternoon has killed one construction worker.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a semi was backing down the roadway in a construction zone on SH 171 three miles south of Keyes when it ran over a  pedestrian.

Forty-eight-year-old Danny Joe Stump was stringing line when the Peterbilt driven by 71-year-old Rosario Terrazas ran over him.  The OHP report said Stump suffered massive injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both Stump and Terrazas were from Guymon.
