OKLAHOMAC CITY -- Sooner and Cowboy fans kick off plans for a trip to the national championship. OU debuts at third and OSU at fourth in the standings.

Either the Sooners or Cowboys will be BCS Champions in 2012, depending on who you ask.

The chance to go all the way in January has Rosie Featherly of Big Sky Travel Source busy. Her phone has been ringing off the hook, even at 1:30 in the morning.

"Everybody is excited. Truthfully I have had OU people since the beginning of the year say put my name your list. Now I have a lot of people from OSU," Featherly said.

The winner of December 3 Bedlam brawl could determine if the Cowboys or the Sooner's will be vying for the number one spot in the Big Easy. One thing is certain. Fans will shell out the cash in advance.

"It's not unusual for someone to spend $ 2,500 to 3,000 to go to the bowl game. This is Oklahoma, they love football here," Featherly said.

For the love of Landry Jones or Brandon Weeden, proper planning and savings come into play.

"The packages will sell out and if people try and book separately, they'll have a 30 day cancellation period," Featherly said.

The travel packages usually aren't announced until after the Bedlam game, according to Featherly. If you want one of those coveted deals, you need to get with your travel agent and get on list now.

The national championship game is January 9.
