Cowboy's Nash On Tisdale Preseason Watch List

STILLWATER, Oklahoma – Oklahoma State freshman Le'Bryan Nash has been named to the 2011-12 Wayman Tisdale Award Preseason Watch List.

The Dallas, Texas native is one of 12 players named to the award list that is annually given to the nation's top freshman by the United States Basketball Writers Association.

Nash is already catching the attention of many this season as he has already been named the Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year in a vote of the league coaches, and is the only Big 12 player on the Tisdale Award watch list.

Last year as a senior at Dallas Lincoln High School, Nash averaged 22 points per game along with 8.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

The 6-foot-7-inch guard/forward also tallied 24 games with 20 or more points his senior year and four contests with 30 points or more.

Others included on the Tisdale award list are: Bradley Beal of Florida, Louisville's Chane Behanan, Khem Birch of Pittsburgh, Connecticut's Andre Drummond, Austin Rivers of Duke, Memphis' Adonis Thomas, Josiah Turner of Arizona, Indiana's Cody Zeller, and the Kentucky trio of Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague.
