OKLAHOMA CITY -- The newest BCS rankings are out and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are holding strong at No. 3, while the Oklahoma Sooners jump three spots to No. 6 after dominating Kansas State on the road.
The Cowboys continues to benefit from the computer rankings, sitting at No. 1 in all of the computer rankings, save for Richard Billingsly's computer, which has OSU at No. 2. Oklahoma State sits nearly a full .07 ahead of Stanford in the rankings, which essentially guarantees that if both schools win out OSU will make its first ever BCS Championship game appearance.
Oklahoma benefited from Clemson's loss and beating a then No. 8 Kansas State to move up to the cusp of the Top 5, right behind the Boise State Broncos. OU also capitalized on the computer rankings, with the computer average slotting them at No. 5.
