Blanchard Community To Thank Veterans With Parade

The community of Blanchard invites Oklahomans to come out and say thank you to veterans during a parade and chili cook-off.

BLANCHARD, Oklahoma -- The community of Blanchard invites Oklahomans to come out and say thank you to veterans during a parade and chili cook-off.

On Saturday, November 12, a parade down Main Street will begin at 10:30 a.m. Following the parade, everyone is invited to Lions Park located in the 400 block of S.W. 7th Street for a Chili cook off and Toy Drive.

For a $5 donation or a new toy ($5 value or greater), you can taste all the chili and vote for your favorite. Nathan Burris and Greystone Bluegrass Revival will be at the park to entertain the crowds.

Parade entries include the Governors Honor Guard, the 77th Army Band from Ft. Sill, the Oklahoma City Scottish Pipe and Drum Corp along with High School Bands from Blanchard, Dibble and Bridge Creek and Several Oklahoma Shrine Units. Congressman Tom Cole, Rep. Lisa Billy and personalities from News 9 will also be in attendance.
