NORMAN, Oklahoma – Every injury in football is costly, but some are even tougher to recover from.

Losing the NCAA's career receptions leader certainly falls into that second category.

The Sooners' high-powered offense will have to adjust and make it work without Ryan Broyles for the final three games of the regular season, along with a bowl.

The good news is, there is still a talented receiving corps that was working alongside Broyles the entire season.

Sophomores Kenny Stills and Jaz Reynolds have both turned themselves into NFL-caliber talents and receivers such as Dejuan Miller and Trey Franks have filled roles nicely.

"Those guys need to really pick up their leadership and toughness and stay on the field more to make the kind of plays Ryan has been making," Coach Bob Stoops said.
