Due to a huge response from residents, the American Red Cross and its community partners have moved the location of Thursday evening earthquake awareness community meeting.

It will now be held at the Prague Community Center at 1319 Westlawn in Prague.

The meeting is open to all citizens, but residents of Prague, Sparks, Meeker and Paden are strongly encouraged to attend.

According to the Red Cross, earthquakes strike suddenly, without warning, and they can occur at any time of the year, day or night. This meeting is an opportunity to address any concerns residents may have and to learn how to properly prepare, react and respond to earthquakes.

The moderator of this meeting will be Prague City Manager Jim Gress. Also expected to join are representatives from the Oklahoma Geological Survey, Lincoln County Emergency Management, Oklahoma Emergency Management, Oklahoma Insurance Department, Salvation Army and other city, county and state leaders.

Community Meeting Details:

DATE: Thursday, November 10, 2011
