Two Earthquakes Recorded Near Meeker Sunday Morning

Two more earthquakes have rattled Oklahoma on Sunday, November 13. Both were within 3 miles of Meeker.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 3:49 a.m. just 3 miles east of Meeker, the United States Geological Survey is reporting Sunday.

The earthquake was 11 miles north, northeast of Shawnee and 37 miles east of Oklahoma City.

The depth was 3 miles, the USGS website states.

At 3:01 a.m., a 2.2 magnitude quake was recorded 3 miles southeast of Meeker. It was 9 miles north of Shawnee and 37 miles east of Oklahoma City.

This earthquake was 3.1 miles deep.
