Tuesday, Oklahoma City police confiscated approximately 100 illegal slot machines from several metro businesses during an illegal gambling investigation.
Officials said the police department's Vice Unit served six search warrants on four structures and two banks during a criminal enterprise investigation into illegal gambling in the metro area.
According to the police department, the illegal slot machines were seized from 41 metro convenience store businesses, and this organization generates approximately $400,000 per year in illegally obtained proceeds. Authorities said officers seized about $363,000 during Tuesday's investigation.
According to the police department, no arrests were made in the investigation Tuesday. The Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office will review the information and issue arrest warrants.
Officials said possible charges could include: Criminal Conspiracy; Commercial Gambling; Receiving Unlawful Proceeds; and Facilitation/Transfer of Unlawful Proceeds.
The Alcoholic Beverage Laws & Enforcement Commission (ABLE) and the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office assisted in the investigation.
