NASHVILLE, Tennessee – OU's dominant performance in the semis apparently wasn't enough momentum to carry them through Vanderbilt.

The Commodores, hosting their own Thanksgiving tournament, handed Oklahoma its first loss of the season on Saturday in a 78-66 win against the 12th-ranked Sooners.

The two teams met in the championship game of the tournament, with OU having taken care of Liberty the day before.

Vanderbilt had two 20-plus scorers, as Jasmine Lister led everyone in the game with 24 and Christina Foggie added 21.

Foggie scored 18 of her points in the first half to help the Commodores (6-0) to a narrow 39-37 lead at the break.

But in the second half, it was Lister's turn, as she scored nine points as part of a 16-7 Vandy run that increased its lead to nine.

Despite some solid individual performances, OU was never able to make up the ground.

Aaryn Ellenberg scored 13 straight points for the Sooners as one point and finished with 22 overall.

Morgan Hook added 16 and Joanna McFarland had a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

OU actually outrebounded Vanderbilt 37-25 but canceled it out with 23 turnovers.

The Sooners (3-1) don't get a break in competition after the loss, for the host 19th-ranked Ohio State on Dec. 4. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center.
