OSU's Franch A Semifinalist For Top Soccer Honor

Cowgirl goalie AD Franch is a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy, college soccer's top individual award.

Oklahoma State soccer player Adrianna Franch has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the Hermann Trophy.

This is the second year in a row Franch has been nominated for the award that is the most prestigious individual award in intercollegiate soccer.

The junior from Salina, Kansas played in 20 of the Cowgirl's 26 matches this season and posted a 16-2-2 record to help OSU to this year's Big 12 regular season championship.

Franch ranks second in the nation in goals-against average after allowing only seven all season for a .35 average per game.

In addition she tallied a .920 save percentage which ranks second in the nation. Franch was also named to the All-Big 12 team for the third year in a row.

Three finalists for the Hermann Trophy will be announced Friday Dec. 9 and the winner will be announced Jan. 12, 2012.
