Dozens of friends, family and peers gathered Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil to honor Shea Marie Michelle Elledge, a Lindsay teen who died after a car accident last Friday.
Elledge had just finished cheering at the school pep rally when the truck she was riding in lost control and hit a tree. She was transported to OU Medical Center where she later died of massive head injuries.
The vigil was held behind the high school baseball field, so friends and family could share memories and show their support.
"We all just need to remember her and her family right now. And that just it's a time for us all to heal. Time to come together as a community and just heal," Logan Gregory said.
A memorial fund has been set up for Elledge at the IBC bank in Lindsay.
