New developments in the efforts to free a pharmacist convicted of murder.

A group called "Citizens Against Armed Robbers" delivered 27,000 signatures to the Pardon and Parole Board Thursday in support of Jerome Ersland.

The group also surveyed 80 pharmacies about robberies. Cindy Jones said all agree that robbers commit crimes at their own risk.

"Asking for protection against armed robbery in our pharmacies in our places of business, we ask that they would pardon Jerome from this travesty that he's been charged with while he was protecting two female employees," said Cindy Jones with Citizens Against Armed Robbers.
