Elk City Wal-Mart Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

Police in Elk City evacuated the Wal-Mart shopping center there Saturday afternoon after a man threatened to burn it down.

Beckham County officials called in a bomb-sniffing dog from Altus Air Force Base for assistance, as they assess the threat.

Shoppers said they heard a man make the threats as they were shopping in the store.
