An Elgin man was killed in a single-car wreck overnight Sunday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Clinton H. Six was killed when he apparently lost control of his 2004 Ford Expedition on Meers Porter Road near NE 120th Street. The wreck happened at 1:43 a.m.

Troopers say Six was eastbound on Meers Porter Hill Road when his Expedition left the road. The driver overcorrected, and the SUV went into a broadslide, rolling about three times.

Six, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. He wasn't wearing a seat belt. The cause of the collision and the driver's condition at the time of the wreck are under investigation.

OHP was assisted by the Comanche County Sheriff's Department, Elgin Fire Department and Comanche County Memorial Ambulance Service.
