For the first time, New 9's Stan Miller's three children won't be home for Christmas, so he and his wife are starting a new holiday tradition.
Stan and his wife have decorated their Christmas tree with beloved ornaments that bring back memories of past holidays. Their now grown children are spread around the world, so the couple will focus on helping others during this holiday season. They're going to help families in need.
"We've decided that this year instead of being served at Christmas, we're going to serve," said Stan. "And I think that that's probably going to be a tradition for us every year, is to go out and look for somebody that needs help."
"We celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas. And, you know, that's probably going to be even more meaningful this Christmas."
