Edmond Teen Injured In Okfuskee County Car Wreck

An Edmond teen ended up in a Tulsa hospital after a crash on Interstate 40 Monday.

It happened just east of Okemah in Okfuskee County. The highway patrol says 18-year-old Ashley Jewel went off the right side of the road, over corrected, and ran off the left side of the road hitting the cable barrier.

She was life-flighted to a Tulsa hospital with head and internal injuries. Troopers say she was wearing a seatbelt.
