A Muskogee woman who jumped from a moving pickup overnight Saturday was injured but is expected to survive.

Ronna Hiler was a passenger in a 1999 Dodge pickup driven by 38-year-old David Hiler, also of Muskogee. Hiler, 30, jumped from the pickup as it was traveling eastbound on Hancock Street near South 55th Street East just before 1 a.m.

Hiler smelled of alcoholic beverages at the time of the incident, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper J.W. Duerson. The trooper found no improper action by the driver.

Hiler was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she was listed in stable condition with head injuries.
