Grady County prosecutors have charged the accomplice of a man who was shot and killed when he broke into a Blanchard woman's house with first-degree murder.

Police said 24-year-old Justin Shane Martin broke through the front door of Sarah McKinley's house on Saturday, December 31. The 18-year-old widow, who was home alone with her baby, shot and killed Martin as he burst into the house carrying a hunting knife.

Prosecutors said Dustin Louis Stewart, 29, was with Martin but ran away from the scene after his accomplice was shot. He later surrendered to police and was booked into the Grady County jail.

Prosecutors have now charged Stewart with first-degree murder because he was engaged in a felony crime when his accomplice was killed.
