AUSTIN, Texas – The Cowboys simply couldn't sustain the pace for an entire 40 minutes.

Oklahoma State hung tight with Texas the whole game despite some serious foul trouble, but in the end fell 58-49 to the Longhorns on Saturday in Austin.

OSU had several players shoot the ball well but who also found early foul trouble. Keiton Page, who has only fouled out a total of four times in his OSU career, picked up three fouls in the first half.

Forward Le'Bryan Nash had a dozen points in the game but fouled out. Guard Cezar Guerrero fouled out as well in just 23 minutes of play, shooting 0-for-6 in the game.

Neither team shot the ball particularly well, especially in the first half, which ended tied at 21 despite Texas leaving by five at one point.

It wasn't until the 11:23 mark of the second half that OSU took its first lead since the early stages, as a 3-pointer from Keiton Page put the Cowboys up 35-32.

The Longhorns regained the lead a couple of minutes later on a 3-pointer from J'Covan Brown to make it 40-37, and Texas never relinquished it.

OSU significantly outshot the Longhorns, putting up 40 percent shooting to just 30 percent from Texas.

But the offensive rebounds are what killed Oklahoma State, as it gave up 13 offensive rebounds, leading to 13 more shots overall in the game for the Longhorns.

OSU also turned the ball over 21 times to just 10 from UT to add to the possession deficiency.

Brian Williams had his second straight solid game, this time with 16 points and six boards to lead the Cowboys.

Forward Michael Cobbins had nine points, 10 rebounds and five blocks to help out Oklahoma State defensively.

OSU will not have much time to rest, getting a day off before preparing for Bedlam on Monday at 6 p.m.
