A two-vehicle collision claimed the life of an Edmond man and injured two others Saturday night.

It happened at 7:50 p.m. on Broadway Road, just north of Waterloo Road in Edmond.

Jeffrey Bidwell Sharp, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Troopers said a 1997 Lincoln Town Car driven by Sharp was traveling at a high rate of speed, southbound on Broadway Road, when it struck the rear of another car driven by Scott Robert Stoll. Stoll's car was stopped at the stop sign at Broadway Road and Waterloo Road southbound at the time.

Scott Stoll, 39, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City with head, trunk and arm injuries. The passenger in Stoll's car, 4-year-old Brooklyn Stoll was treated at the scene.

Scott and Brooklyn were wearing seatbelts and Sharp was not wearing one at the time of the crash, according to the OHP collision report.

Troopers said the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
