Harper County Associate District Judge George Wayne Olmstead resigned from office after pleading no contest to one felony count of downloading pornography on his state-owned computer.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt announced the 63-year-old judge received a one-year deferred sentence and probation.  Olmstead submitted his resignation to the governor's office and must undergo a mental health evaluation.

The Oklahoma Multicounty Grand Jury indicted Olmstead in May on 19 counts of downloading more than 32 hours of obscene videos onto his state owned computer.  The incidents occurred in February and March of last year.  This indictment was dismissed as part of Olmstead's plea agreement.
