Heating Unit May Be To Blame For Warr Acres Apartment Fire

Firefighters from Warr Acres and Bethany rushed to put out a fire at an apartment complex late Monday night.

Residents called fire crews to the Wind Tree Condos in the 6000 block of N.W. 53rd Terrace just after 10 p.m. Firefighters found a few small fires burning in a crawl space under a unit.

Crews quickly put out the flames and only one apartment was damaged. Everyone escaped unharmed.

Firefighters said a heating unit probably started the fire.
