News 9 was the first station on the scene of a four alarm fire, right behind the first fire truck. The fire started small, but it soon grew large.

At times, it was difficult for drivers to see the car in front of them on the Broadway Extension, one of the metro's busiest roads. The Broadway Extension was shut down for about an hour due to the fire. Broadway Extension was a ghost town for a good portion of the fire fight just before it reopened after 7 p.m.

Fire officials say they were concerned about exploding propane tanks on the property at first, but they soon realized the tanks were far enough away and not an issue. Fire officials report that the building is completely destroyed.

Now, firefighters say they are trying to determine what caused the fire.
