A surveillance camera at a business in southwest Oklahoma City captured video of a man attempting to break into car, then pointing something at the victim when he was caught.

Video from December 31 shows the suspect, wearing pants with a distinctive pattern, breaking the window of a vehicle near S.W. 44th Street and S. Interstate 44 Service Road. The owner of the car heard his car alarm going off and ran outside, along with a co-worker, to see what was happening.

The co-worker yelled at the suspect that he was going to call police. The car owner started to approach the suspect, but the man pointed something at him. The victim could not tell if it was a weapon.

The suspect then jumped into his own car and drove away. The suspect's car was an older model, white, four-door car. It had a red rear bumper and red along the trim of the trunk.

Police said the suspect cut himself when he broke the victim's car window. Police took samples of the blood as evidence.

Oklahoma City Police are asking the public to take a good look at the video. Anyone who recognizes the suspect should call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
