The Oklahoma State Cowboys picked up their third conference win of the season Saturday with a dominating 11-1 win over the Kansas Jayhawks, thanks in-part to the pitching of starter Kyle Ottoson.

The senior left-handed pitcher kept the Jayhawks' offense from getting going, pitching seven innings for OSU, giving up one earned run on eight hits, while striking out six. His only earned run of the game came in the top of the seventh on a two-out RBI single, leading 4-1.

Oklahoma State's offense was just as dominant, scoring 10 of their 11 runs in just two innings.

In the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded and one out on the board, Wes Jones doubled to left field, allowing two to score to take a 3-0 lead. Zach Fish reached on a fielder's choice in the next at bat, allowing Gabe Weidenaar to score and push the advantage to four runs.

Three at-bats later, Jared Womack singled to center field, bringing Jones home and giving Oklahoma State a 5-0 lead.

The Cowboys continued to pour in on in seventh, with Mark Ginther doubling to left center and scoring in the next at-bat on a fielding error. OSU loaded the bases and then Hunter Bailey was hit by a pitch, bringing Trey Whaley home and giving the Cowboys a 7-1 lead. Jarrett Higgins followed with a single to right field, scoring Weidenaar and Womack capped things off with a bases-clearing double to make it 11-1 in favor of Oklahoma State.

Wes Benjamin came away with a loss for the outing, giving up just two earned runs on six hits in his 5.2 innings of service for the Jayhawks.

Oklahoma State will try to go for its first series sweep of the season at 1 p.m. Sunday, before heading to Austin for a weekend series against the Texas Longhorns.
