A two-vehicle collision in Payne County has left a Perkins man critically injured Saturday night.

It happened at 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 177 and 92nd Street, about two miles north of Perkins, Oklahoma.

A 1990 Toyota truck driven by 43-year-old Eric Wolfe was westbound on 92nd Street when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. The truck was then struck by a 2011 Honda Civic driven by 27-year-old Dustin Cantrell.

Troopers said Cantrell's car was southbound on Highway 177 at the time.

Wolfe was transported by EagleMed to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He is in critical condition. Dustin Cantrell of Cushing, Oklahoma, refused treatment at the scene, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report.

Wolfe was not wearing a seatbelt, and Cantrell was wearing one at the time of the collision. Trooper said they did smell an odor of alcohol on Wolfe.

The cause of this collision is listed as "failure to stop."
