Firefighters had some trouble putting out a fire at a house in rural Noble early Thursday morning.
Flames broke out around 4:30 a.m. near 48th Avenue and Banner Road. A deputy actually saw smoke coming from the house and called the fire department.
There were no fire hydrants near the two-story house, so fire crews had to pump water and carry it to the house. Firefighters say they often have to do this in rural areas.
Unfortunately, the fire destroyed the house. The people living there were in the process of moving out so no one was home when the fire broke out.
No one was hurt. Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
