Oklahoma City blasted four big home runs Tuesday to top the Tucson Padres 7-4, capping off an eight-game home stand with a win, their fifth consecutive win.
The RedHawsk jumped out to an early lead, thanks to a three-run home run in the bottom of the first from Mike Hessman, his first of the year.
However, Tucson took advantage of the opportunities given by Oklahoma City, scoring its first run on a ground out in the top of the second to cut the lead to 3-1. In the top of the third, Matt Clark drew a walk with the bases loaded to close the gap to one, and Sawyer Carroll singled two at-bats later to bring Alexi Amarista and Logan Forsythe home to take a 4-3 lead.
Scott Moore led off the bottom of the fourth for Oklahoma State with a home run over the right field wall tying the game. The bottom of the sixth saw yet another solo home run, this one from Brad Snyder to take a 5-4 advantage in the sixth.
Hessman hit his second home run of the year in the bottom of the seventh, his seventh of the year, pushing Oklahoma City's lead to three runs.
