On Sunday, August 5, Oklahoma City police officers responded to a "shots fired" call at 8221 N.W. 11th Street. According to police, witnesses said a fight broke out at a gathering resulting in gunfire. Chavez died in the shooting; two others suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators gathered enough information on Ramirez to obtain a warrant. He was located in the 2300 block of Heatherfield Lane in Norman by the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Warrant Team and taken into custody without incident. The U.S. Marshals Service assisted in the arrest.

"This is a great arrest by our deputies, and was the result of great teamwork with the U.S. Marshals" said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel.

No other arrests in this case are expected.
