Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested a Noble man accused of collecting child pornography on his computer.

The Noble Police Department contacted the OSBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force after receiving information that 50-year-old William Allen Barwick had child porn on his laptop. The two agencies began a joint investigation.

On Thursday, August 30, task force members followed Barwick from his job at a Wal-Mart in Norman. They detained him and asked him to accompany officers to his house in the 1000 block of N. 5th Street in Noble.

Barwick agreed. When investigators arrived at his home, they conducted a search and seized his laptop computer. Investigators found child pornography on his laptop and on a hard drive.

The OSBI also seized several other pieces of computer equipment and sent it to the Computer Crimes Unite for forensic examination. Investigators are trying to determine if any local children are in the images.

Police booked Barwick into the Cleveland County jail for possession of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
